Child day care
Municipal children’s day care is arranged in day care centres, family day care and group family day care for children aged 0-6 years as full-day or half-day care.
As an alternative to municipal day care there is a child home care allowance and private day care allowance.
Day care includes nursing, care and training, and its aim is to support the fostering work in the home. Parents have the primary responsibility for bringing up their children, and therefore it is important to have close cooperation between day care and the family.
