Child and family care

The work in child and family services consists of service forms directed to children, youth and families. The performance area  includes maternity and child health guidance, child protection (preventive, urgent and longterm social work), custody and alimony cases, preventive examinations and care for health care target groups in cooperation with multiprofessional work teams and networks. Other activities include the care of the mentally disabled, the securing of the livelihood of families and individuals, handicap services, substance abuse care, school health care, health promoting activities and the availability of a social worker on call.
