The activities include health examination,  developing and maintaining work ability as well as visits to workplaces.

Appointment with an occupational public health nurse, physiotherapist or doctor according to agreement. Occupational health care includes statutory preventive health care. No medical treatment is given. The occupational health care services are subject to a fee.

When a sickness certificate is needed working age adults are referred to occupational health care. Accidents at work are treated at the nearest emergency clinic.
